Polio Campaign Launched in District Mianwali
Like other parts of the country, the polio eradication campaign has been officially launched in District Mianwali. Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya inaugurated the five-day campaign by administering polio vaccine drops to children.
Inauguration Ceremony at DHQ Hospital
The opening ceremony, organized by the District Health Authority, took place at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya officially inaugurated the campaign by cutting the ribbon and personally administering the vaccine drops to children.
Message to Parents
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to parents to ensure their children receive the two essential drops of the polio vaccine. He urged the Health Department officials to intensify awareness efforts about the importance of the polio campaign.
Campaign Details
- CEO Health, Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Khan, shared that over 325,000 children under the age of five will be vaccinated during this campaign.
- To achieve this, 1,404 teams have been formed, ensuring widespread coverage across the district.
Participation of Officials
Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Khan (CEO Health) and Dr. Amir Ahmad Khan (MS, DHQ Hospital) also administered polio vaccine drops to children during the ceremony.
