Brigadier (R) Babar Alauddin, Chairperson of the Chief Minister Punjab’s Surveillance and Monitoring Directorate, presided over a high-level meeting held in the DC Office Committee Room, Mianwali. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Captain (R) Usama Majid Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Salman Ahmad Lone, Assistant Commissioners of all three tehsils, and heads of various district departments.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya provided a comprehensive briefing on various initiatives, including the Saaf Punjab Program, Green Tractor Scheme, Kisan Card, Himmat Card, Minority Card, Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme, Dhi Rani Program, revenue matters, ongoing development projects, and other special initiatives by Chief Minister Punjab.

In his address, Brigadier Alauddin highlighted that Chief Minister Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif is taking significant steps for the welfare of the people and is personally monitoring all government initiatives to improve the standard of living for the common man. He emphasized the geographical and strategic importance of Mianwali and acknowledged the vital role its people have played in various fields.

He stated that large-scale mega projects are underway across different sectors, attributing the progress to the current government. He elaborated on the substantial funds being invested in the health sector, with projects for the renovation and improvement of Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) ongoing throughout Punjab. Brigadier Alauddin also termed the socio-economic program an innovative initiative by the Chief Minister.

The Chairperson stressed that it is the government’s responsibility to launch development projects and provide funding, while ensuring timely completion and quality of work lies with the officers. He called for better promotion of government initiatives to maximize public benefit and underlined the importance of respect and dignity in providing assistance to citizens.

He announced the establishment of solid waste management companies in Punjab’s 122 tehsils, which will bring transformative improvements in cleanliness and hygiene in urban and rural areas. He directed Assistant Commissioners and Municipal Committee officers to monitor these companies regularly.

Brigadier Alauddin reiterated the Chief Minister’s zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, urging strict action against corrupt officials. He praised Punjab as a model of good governance, where visible progress is being made in every sector, establishing it as a leading province in development.

He also addressed the importance of moral education for youth in schools to counter misleading propaganda. Additionally, he instructed the Deputy Commissioner to take firm action against those involved in mineral theft and to ensure proper inspection of government initiatives.

The Chairperson concluded by emphasizing the need for field officers to actively oversee projects, eradicate encroachments, and maintain cleanliness in the city. He affirmed that the benefits of Chief Minister Punjab’s initiatives must reach the common man.
