Awareness Campaign by PAF Base MM Alam, Mianwali Regarding Safety Concerns
The Flight Safety Squadron at PAF Base MM Alam, Mianwali, has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the dangers posed by activities such as pigeon flying, kite flying, and aerial firing in the areas surrounding the base. These activities are hazardous to valuable aircraft, as birds and kites can collide with flying planes, leading to accidents. Additionally, aerial firing is not only dangerous for the aircraft but also poses a serious threat to the residents in the vicinity.
In an effort to protect national assets, the residents around PAF Base MM Alam have been informed that pigeon flying, kite flying, and aerial firing are completely prohibited under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Strict legal action will be taken against violators. Residents are encouraged to report any violations immediately to the nearest police station or to the Air Force contact numbers: 0459-234536, 0459-232051, or the mobile number 03239416326, demonstrating responsible citizenship.
Furthermore, it is advised to avoid creating garbage dumps in open areas as birds are attracted to such piles, which can result in collisions with aircraft during flight, leading to serious accidents. Therefore, proper cleanliness and waste management in areas surrounding airports is a shared national responsibility. Improper disposal of waste not only leads to environmental pollution and the spread of diseases but also jeopardizes aviation safety. To ensure the protection of national assets, residents are urged to dispose of waste in shopping bags and place it in the nearest trash bin.
