Good News for Farmers: Punjab’s Prosperity is Linked to Farmers’ Prosperity
The Government of Punjab has launched the Solarization Program for Agricultural Tube Wells, aiming to transition 8,000 agricultural tube wells to solar energy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Farmers must own at least one acre of agricultural land.
- Tube wells must have been installed and operational on electricity or diesel before October 30, 2024.
Solar Power Capacity Provided
- Solar power systems of 10 kW, 15 kW, and 20 kW will be supplied.
Program Budget
- The total cost of the project is 93 billion PKR.
