Colorful Sports Gala Held at Government Special Education School Mianwali
A vibrant Sports Gala was organized at the Government Girls and Boys Special Education School Mianwali under the auspices of the Special Education Department. The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, who was the chief guest. The Deputy Commissioner officially inaugurated the Sports Gala by cutting the ribbon.
Inaugural Ceremony and School Visit
The Deputy Commissioner visited various stalls set up at the school, where he observed a wide range of clothing and products created by the special girls. He also watched various sports competitions held for the boys in the boys’ school.
Appreciation of Students’ Talents
During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner praised the artistic talents of the special girls, especially the clothes and handicrafts they had made. The Principal of the Special Education Girls School informed the Deputy Commissioner that the institution provides practical training in sewing, embroidery, and handicrafts, with the aim of helping special girls earn a dignified livelihood after completing their education.
Speech by the Deputy Commissioner
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that sports are essential for the mental and physical development of children and help instill a spirit of competition. He acknowledged that the participation of special children in the competition clearly demonstrated that these children are not inferior to normal children in any field. He also commended the teachers of Special Education for their dedication and efforts toward the betterment of the institution.
