Crackdown on Overpricing in Mianwali: Fines and Legal Action Against Violators

The Price Control Magistrates have launched a crackdown on those responsible for artificial inflation. As a result, five shopkeepers have been booked, and a fine of PKR 93,260 has been imposed for overpricing.

According to details, under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, Price Control Magistrates conducted 13,624 inspections across the district. Various shopkeepers found guilty of overpricing were fined PKR 93,260, while FIRs were registered against five shopkeepers for violating the Price Control Act.
