Dr. Zahida Nasreen
Incharge / Assistant Professor
Dr. Zahida Nasreen has completed her PhD in Zoology from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. Her research area focuses on Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology. During her PhD, she successfully developed a method for composting organic waste using aerobic composting. Through monoculture composting experiments and bin experiments, she provided aeration for microbial activity and augmented the natural microbial community with a compatible microbe, resulting in high-quality compost with significant plant bioassay results.
Dr. Nasreen has served as a lecturer of Biology at P.A.E.C College Chashama for one year. She has also taught Environmental Biology and Biology to graduate students in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Physics at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, as a visiting lecturer.
