Meeting of the District Emergency Board Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Captain (R) Osama Majid Cheema
A meeting of the District Emergency Board was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Captain (R) Osama Majid Cheema, at the DC Office Committee Room. The meeting was attended by District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, CEO Health Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Khan, CO District Council Malik Sajid, Senior Inspector of Environment Muhammad Imran Ali, Executive Engineer Highway Azam Ghafoor, SDO Highway Shahbaz Klasra, MS DHQ Hospital Dr. Amir Ahmed Khan, along with officers from the Traffic Police, Civil Defense, Municipal Committees, Forest Department, and Livestock Department.
The District Emergency Officer presented an agenda regarding the prevention of smog, installation of signboards at Aziz Jehan Chowk in Piplan to reduce accidents, registration of private ambulances, and addressing traffic accidents on roads.
During the meeting, the ADC-R directed the Executive Engineer Highway and Traffic Police officers to install awareness signboards and reflectors at the black spot in Piplan Chowk to reduce the increasing accident rate at this location. He also instructed the Assistant Director of Environmental Protection, Municipal Corporation, and Traffic Police officers to take appropriate measures to curb smog and fog, and to take strict action against violators.
Additionally, the ADC-R directed the District Emergency Officer to ensure the registration of private ambulances and instructed the MS to make proper arrangements for the parking of private ambulances at the back side of the Trauma Center. He further directed the Traffic Police to take action against drivers who park vehicles unnecessarily on main roads. Furthermore, he instructed that reflectors be installed on tractor-trailers and large vehicles to prevent accidents during foggy conditions.
