Rescue 1122 Town Station Inaugurated in Kundian, Mianwali
In line with the Punjab Government’s vision to ensure timely and efficient emergency services for the public, the Rescue 1122 Town Station has been inaugurated in Kundian, Mianwali. The Chairman of the District Monitoring Committee and former MPA, Malik Feroz Joiya, along with Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, unveiled the plaque and officially inaugurated the Rescue 1122 building.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Piplan, Ejaz Abdul Karim, District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, Deputy Director Development Shoaib Raza, and XEN Buildings Azam Ghafoor, along with rescue officers, rescuers, Rescue Mohafiz, prominent figures from Kundian, members of civil society, and media representatives.
Government’s Commitment to Public Welfare
Speaking at the event, former MPA Malik Feroz Joiya highlighted that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is launching new developmental projects aimed at improving public welfare and providing relief in all sectors. He praised the Punjab Government’s initiative to extend Rescue 1122 services from the district level to town levels, ensuring swift emergency response for the people. He also congratulated the people of Kundian on the establishment of the rescue station and appreciated the dedication of rescuers working with a spirit of public service.
Better Emergency Services for Kundian and Surrounding Areas
Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya emphasized that the new Rescue Station in Kundian will greatly benefit local residents, ensuring quick access to emergency services.
District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal noted that Kundian, being located at the confluence of the Indus River and Chashma Barrage, holds strategic importance. The establishment of the Rescue 1122 Town Station was essential, and now, with its operational status, not only Kundian city but also nearby villages and surrounding areas will receive timely emergency services.
Inspection and Tree Plantation
Before concluding the ceremony, former MPA Malik Feroz Joiya and Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya planted trees in the Rescue Station’s lawn as a symbol of growth and sustainability. They also inspected the newly provided emergency vehicle and other facilities available at the station.
